Manchester-based multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a varied portfolio of high-profile projects across the full lifecycle, from feasibility to handover. You will coordinate consultants, contractors and stakeholders and act as a key client contact with responsibility for delivery.

Job description

A leading multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy in Manchester is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its established team. The successful Senior Project Manager will work across a varied portfolio of high-profile property and construction projects, taking responsibility for delivery while acting as a key client contact.

The Senior Project Manager will lead projects from early feasibility through to completion, coordinating consultants, contractors and stakeholders. The consultancy is looking for a confident Senior Project Manager who can manage complex projects independently, lead client meetings and support less experienced colleagues. The incoming Senior Project Manager will also contribute to wider client relationships, giving the Senior Project Manager a broad and influential role.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Senior Project Manager's role

The Senior Project Manager will manage projects across the full lifecycle, including planning, design, procurement, construction and handover.

Responsibilities will include leading client meetings, managing programmes, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, monitoring risks and overseeing contractors.

The successful Senior Project Manager will ideally have:

• Strong Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
• Experience independently managing medium to large projects
• Excellent client-facing skills
• Experience leading consultant and contractor teams
• A relevant construction degree
• MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or progress towards qualification
• Strong procurement and programme management knowledge
