Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager based in Scotland to oversee large-scale onshore and offshore electricity transmission initiatives as part of the Beyond 2030 plan.

You will lead project teams through feasibility, option selection, planning, procurement and construction handover, ensuring safety, governance and value delivery. The role requires collaboration with partners and a commitment to a flexible first approach.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large, complex capital projects.
• Understanding of the project development lifecycle: feasibility, planning, procurement, construction handover.
• Experience guiding multi-disciplinary teams and managing multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams including employees, consultants, contractors and supply chain partners.
• Oversee major onshore and offshore transmission projects from feasibility through to construction handover.
• Manage budgets, programmes, risks, procurement and governance with accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Maintain safety and environmental leadership across project development phases.
• Foster strong internal and external relationships with clear updates and escalations.
