Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, a major part of Babcock International Group, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support commissioning at Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater, Somerset. The role focuses on driving complex commissioning from planning through delivery, working within the Hinkley Point C Commissioning Alliance to ensure safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives.

The position is primarily site-based with travel to other sites, offering a challenging environment on one of Europe’s largest

Qualifications

• Quality leadership experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries.
• Experience delivering large-scale manufacturing/construction projects.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop quality professionals.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors on quality.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager to deliver commissioning in line with safety, quality, schedule and cost.
• Define work scope, coordinate interfaces and ensure project execution across teams.
• Prepare and review project documentation, plans, and technical drawings.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and report to stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings and ensure regulatory, environmental and quality requirements are met.
