Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear at Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater, Somerset, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive commissioning activities on a flagship UK nuclear new-build program.

The role will work within the Commissioning Alliance, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing documentation, risk and stakeholder reporting, and ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery. This site-based, permanent role offers generous benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma or equivalent in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop quality professionals.
• Experience managing supplier quality activities with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager to deliver commissioning activities within safety, quality, schedule and cost targets.
• Define work scope, coordinate interfaces and ensure effective project execution across teams.
• Prepare, maintain and review project docs, plans, contractor submissions and drawings.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, provide accurate stakeholder reports.
• Facilitate meetings and ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and quality requirements.
