Qualifications

• Quality leadership experience within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing and construction projects.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing quality professionals.
• Experience managing supplier quality activities and working directly with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and quality governance principles.

• Supporting the Project Manager to deliver commissioning activities in line with safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives.
• Defining work scope, coordinating interfaces and ensuring effective project execution across multidisciplinary teams.
• Preparing, maintaining and reviewing project documentation, plans, contractor submissions and technical drawings.
• Monitoring project progress, managing risks and issues, and providing accurate reports to key stakeholders.
• Facilitating project meetings and ensuring contractual, regulatory, environmental and quality requirements are achieved.

The role

This is your opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a flagship nuclear new-build programme that will play a critical role in the United Kingdom's energy future. Working as part of the Hinkley Point C Commissioning Alliance, you'll help drive complex commissioning work from planning through to delivery, gaining invaluable experience on one of the largest engineering and infrastructure projects in Europe.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Supporting the Project Manager to deliver commissioning activities in line with safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives
• Defining work scope, coordinating interfaces and ensuring effective project execution across multidisciplinary teams
• Preparing, maintaining and reviewing project documentation, plans, contractor submissions and technical drawings
• Monitoring project progress, managing risks and issues, and providing accurate reports to key stakeholders
• Facilitating project meetings and ensuring contractual, regulatory, environmental and quality requirements are achieved

This is a full-time, permanent role based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset. The role is primarily site-based, with flexibility to work across project offices when required. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites will be expected.

Essential experience of the Senior Project Engineer (Commissioning):

• Quality leadership experience within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry.

Qualifications for the Senior Project Engineer (Commissioning):

• Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
