Job summary

Wates Smartspace is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with strong project management to lead delivery on one of London's iconic Grade II listed structures. You will plan and supervise temporary works and enabling activities, coordinating design consultants, subcontractors and site teams while preserving heritage fabric.

Lead the end-to-end delivery of logistics, coordination meetings and construction programmes, ensuring safety, quality and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant experience delivering complex construction projects.
• Experience managing temporary works and logistics in live heritage environments.
• ICE membership at IEng/CEng or equivalent.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of temporary works and enabling activities.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of logistics packages and cut-and-carve works.
• Coordinate design consultants, subcontractors and site teams.
• Develop and maintain construction programmes and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with heritage, conservation and planning requirements.
• Interface between engineering, operations and commercial teams.
• Prepare progress reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive health, safety and environmental culture across workstreams.
