Job summary

Hall & Kay is seeking a Senior Project Leader to deliver multiple concurrent projects in the built environment. You will manage a team of Operations Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Supervisors, operatives and sub-contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in Construction/M&E/Building Services is required.
• Senior project management experience within the sprinkler industry is required.
• Proven leadership experience with ability to develop a team.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience managing multiple projects with diverse client scopes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good problem-solving ability and self-motivation.
• Commercial/financial skills including negotiation experience.
• Client engagement skills and senior leadership experience with national accounts.
• Proven improvements and innovations in delivery methods and processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects successfully, on time and within budget.
• Oversee line management of a project team.
• Conduct regular project reviews for programme, cost, quality and safety.
• Develop relationships with key clients to drive repeat business.
• Identify opportunities with existing/new clients per business strategy.
• Meet financial targets with support from Commercial team.
• Lead project teams to comply with policies and standards.
• Ensure works meet relevant British Standards and codes of practice.
• Provide technical support to contracts.
• Conduct staff appraisals and development plans for direct reports.
• Coordinate with Commercial, Engineering, Estimating and Support teams.
• Assist in final contract negotiations prior to award.
• Build customer relationships and deliver excellent service.
• Share innovations and lessons learned.
