Job summary

NC Associates are working exclusively with a forward thinking and growing engineering and project-led organisation based in Bolton – Greater Manchester to recruit a Senior Project Cost Controller on a contract basis for 18 Months to cover maternity leave. You will drive project profitability, governance and commercial decision-making across the business.

You will work closely with project managers, department heads and senior leadership, providing financial insight into project performance,

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
• 5 years’ experience in financial or project controls.
• Proficient with accounting systems; IFS knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitability and governance across projects.
• Own financial controls including WIP and project closures.
• Prepare monthly variance analyses and support budgeting/forecasting.
• Interface with HR on cost rates and pricing tools.
• Lead ad-hoc reporting and pricing tool improvements.
