Job summary

NC Associates collaborates with a growing engineering and project-led organisation in Bolton, Greater Manchester, to recruit a Senior Project Cost Controller on an 18-month contract. You will drive project profitability, strengthen financial governance and support commercial decision-making across the business.

You will work with project managers and senior leadership to provide budgeting and forecasting, analyse monthly results and identify opportunities to improve margins and efficiency, while

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification or equivalent
• 5 years' experience in financial and/or project controls
• Experience with project accounting systems and cost governance
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Eligible to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Drive project profitability and strengthen financial governance across the business.
• Support commercial decision-making with financial insight from project performance.
• Provide budgeting and forecasting activities and analyse monthly results to identify margin opportunities.
• Own key financial controls including aged WIP and project closure reviews.
• Lead ad-hoc reporting and management dashboards to inform leadership.
• Coordinate with HR and project teams on cost rates and pricing tools.
