Job summary

MBDA in Bolton is seeking enthusiastic Project Planners and Project Controllers to join our Project Control team, ensuring products are built to schedule, cost, and scope within a collaborative environment.

The roles involve creating and maintaining manufacturing plans, forecasting costs, and validating schedules across stakeholders. We offer hybrid working (2-3 days on-site), and a salary of £36,000-£45,000 depending on experience, with BPSS checks after offer stage.

Qualifications

• Planning experience from detailed to milestone delivery plans.
• Experience in creating and maintaining project structures (WBS/CBS/OBS).
• Experience in generating and analysing project performance data (schedule, resource, and cost).
• Understanding of cost and resource loaded schedules.
• Experience in managing projects to budget and cost control.
• Knowledge of Baseline Management and Change Control.
• Accountability for project data and reporting suite quality.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain manufacturing plans linked to schedule, cost and scope.
• Forecast and apportion costs; assess variances to budget and support mitigations.
• Validate project schedules with stakeholders and ensure alignment with governance.
• Lead Integrated Baseline (budget & schedule) generation to deliver programmes.
• Produce data to support project health: cost, schedule, resource and spend analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardisation in project controls.
