Job summary

AWE plc is seeking a Project Controls Manager for the Future Material Campus, a flagship UK infrastructure programme. You will lead cost, budget, planning and estimating, guiding multi-functional teams to keep delivery on schedule and within budget.

You will engage with Project Managers and Supply Chain to sustain schedule momentum, manage risks, and implement robust change processes and governance across the programme.

Qualifications

• Chartered or equivalent professional status.
• Strong track record in Project Controls on a major construction project.
• Experience across defence, life sciences, pharma or related sectors.
• Mentoring a multi-functional controls team.

Responsibilities

• Manage risk, including qualitative and quantitative assessments to schedule predictability and cost.
• Influence and support project managers and procurement to ensure schedule momentum and cash flow KPIs.
• Role modelling best practice in conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, basic contingency principles and procurement principles.
• Co-ordinating and facilitating planning sessions to compile the master project/programme schedule baseline.
