Job summary

AWE seeks an estimating specialist to shape the cost profile of major UK projects. You will turn data into insight, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and drive clarity and control across a wide project portfolio. This role offers hybrid working and opportunities to influence project controls and portfolio planning.

Develop complex estimates, support performance reporting, and coach teams to deliver high-quality bases and assumptions, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Background in Estimating, cost engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commercial, Cost planning.
• Experience in Stakeholder management with senior levels.
• General education incl. engineering/technical/management qualifications or proven experience.
• Active member of a relevant professional body and willing to maintain CPD.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex cost estimates for an agreed scope.
• Provide estimating input to performance reporting, risk and change assessments.
• Write estimate plans and bases with underpinning qualification and assumptions.
• Lead, coach and develop a team and influence others in project and portfolio plans.
• Support project teams with guidance and drive high performance and continuous improvement.
• Maintain high standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality.
