Job summary

AWE plc in Reading is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead the Project Controls team on a major infrastructure programme for national security. You will own risk, cost, schedule, and estimating functions, mentoring a multi-functional team and collaborating with Project Managers and Supply Chain to ensure on-time delivery.

Role requires chartered status, senior experience in project controls on large projects, and familiarity with Primavera P6, Power BI and Excel.

Qualifications

• Chartered or equivalent status required.
• Proven success in a Project Controls environment on a major construction project.
• Experience delivering controls in Defence, Life Sciences, Pharma, R&D, or industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Managing risk with qualitative and quantitative assessments to schedule predictability and cost.
• Influencing project managers and procurement to maintain schedule momentum and cash flow KPIs.
• Lead planning sessions to compile the master project/programme schedule baseline.
• Own and improve change management processes and ensure baseline sign-off.
• Mentor a multi-functional project controls team and engage stakeholders.
