Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking PMO professionals to join our Advisory and Programme Delivery unit, delivering integrated project controls across major infrastructure programmes. You will contribute to planning, cost and risk management, governance, and performance reporting to strengthen delivery outcomes.

The role supports a hybrid working model with travel to client sites across the UK. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, leveraging Primavera P6 and MS Project, to drive excellence in

Qualifications

• Security clearance may be required.
• Willingness to travel 2–3 days per week including overnight stays.
• Experience on large-scale infrastructure projects (water, transport, nuclear, defence).
• Degree level education and/or project controls qualification (APMG Planning and Controls, EVM, PMQ, Prince2).
• Expertise across planning, cost, risk, health and safety, and quality.
• Experience applying project controls in consultancy, engineering, or major infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of risk management and reporting (ARM).
• Knowledge of cost management, earned value management, and project performance reporting.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
• Ability to develop and maintain project schedules aligned with requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrable expertise across planning, cost, risk and reporting within a Project Controls environment.
• Apply project controls principles within consultancy, engineering or major infrastructure projects.
• Analyze project performance measures across multiple data sources.
• Identify issues and drive appropriate mitigation and recovery actions.
• Establish and implement project controls frameworks across complex projects.
• Engage stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels.
• Provide integrated project controls to support governance and successful delivery.
