Job summary

United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL) is seeking a Project Controls Lead to manage day-to-day operations, develop and support the growth of the Project Controls team, and provide cost control and reporting services across UKNNL projects and programmes. The role reports to the PMO and involves senior level collaboration with the Project Management Authority.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated line management responsibilities within a Project Controls delivery environment.
• Experience leading Senior Project Controls services on complex projects/programmes/portfolios.
• Involvement in strategic-level discussions & development of service delivery strategies.
• Ability to present confidently at all levels of seniority.
• Commercial awareness to support customer-facing projects.
• Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (5 years UK residency).

Responsibilities

• Line management within the Project Controls team and provide leadership, mentoring and support.
• Develop and embed a Project Controls framework aligned to PMA and Delivery Operations strategies.
• Oversee performance of the PC team and identify capability improvements and development opportunities.
• Lead on governance procedures, processes, tools and systems for Project Controls.
• Manage framework, systems and resources to deliver cost control and reporting for Project Managers and Sponsors.
• Provide senior oversight on complex projects/programmes and risk reviews, including schedule risk analysis.
