Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Controls Consultant to join our Integrated Programme Controls team in the UK. The role covers Birmingham, Manchester or London offices and focuses on PMO best practice and infrastructure project controls. Strong cost management, budgeting and data analytics are essential.

You will deliver cost forecasts, track variances, and provide dashboards to support complex decision-making across major programmes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised and accredited university.
• Experience in multi-discipline projects and client-facing responsibility.
• Strong organisational, coordination and people management skills.
• Advanced planning, scheduling, cost engineering, change control, risk and opportunity management.
• PMO experience and understanding of PMO functions.
• Experience in project controls on large infrastructure or construction projects.
• Good grasp of Quantitative Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Establishing cost control and management systems.
• Daily collection of cost information.
• Operate cost management processes and monitor budgets.
• Participate in managing project budgets for labour, equipment, materials and subcontract costs.
• Report costs vs. budget and provide cost metrics.
• Collate inputs for weekly/monthly cost flow and cash flow reporting.
• Deliver data analysis and dashboards for project decisions.
