Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Malvern is seeking a Senior Project Controller (Fixed Term – Full Time) to lead project controls across the lifecycle. You will plan, monitor and control performance, coordinates schedules and costs, and provide clear reporting to stakeholders.

Role is based at the Malvern facility, 37 hours per week, onsite three days on average. SC clearance eligibility is required and the position offers 38,700–43,000 GBP depending on experience, plus benefits.

The Role
As the Senior Project Controller you will be fully responsible and accountable for project controls throughout the project lifecycle. Planning, monitoring and controlling project performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Scheduling ~ Maintaining project schedules including resource management. Proactively working closely with Resource Managers and Project Managers to seek the best outcome
• Cost planning and control ~ Management of actual and forecast costs against budget including updating plans in line with change control. Evaluating cost variance, highlighting areas of underperformance and making informed decisions to suggest recovery actions to ensure project performance stays on track
• Analysis and reporting ~ Analysing and reporting data to develop a complete and accurate picture that will inform decisions regarding the management, quality and control of projects. Providing clear information and certainty regarding schedule, cost and risk position
• Performance management ~ Governance requirements and processes are followed as documented in the BMS and the Project Management Knowledge NetworQ

Essential experience of the Senior Project Controller :

• Applies comprehensive knowledge of project controls, understanding the full project lifecycle
• Plans, monitors and controls projects and/or processes, working independently with no supervision
• Has comprehensive knowledge of lifecycles and experience of applying one or more independently – Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid

Desirable qualifications for the Senior Project Controller :

• ECITB Certificate in Project Controls or demonstrate working towards or APMG Project Planning & Control (PPC) Practitioner
