Job summary

Our client in the Defence sector in Malvern is seeking 3 Project Controllers to join on an initial 12-month assignment. You will develop and monitor integrated schedules, manage budgets and forecasts, and produce clear reporting to stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

The role requires hands-on experience in project controls across complex programmes, plus a solid understanding of Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery, with the ability to plan, monitor and control performance with

Qualifications

• Strong experience in project controls across complex project environments.
• Solid understanding of project lifecycles and delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Ability to independently plan, monitor and control project performance with minimal supervision.
• Experience producing project schedules, forecasting costs and delivering management reporting.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Active SC Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor integrated project schedules aligned to programme needs.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts and cost performance, analyse variances and identify corrective actions.
• Produce meaningful project reporting for stakeholders on schedule, financial position, risks and delivery status.
• Support governance and assurance activities, applying project controls processes and standards.
• Collaborate with project and resource management teams to optimise delivery plans and performance.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to support planning, forecasting and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor integrated project schedules, ensuring resource requirements are accurately reflected and aligned to programme needs.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts and cost performance, analysing variances and identifying corrective actions where required.
• Produce meaningful project reporting, providing stakeholders with clear insights into schedule performance, financial position, risks and delivery status.
• Support governance and assurance activities, ensuring project controls processes and standards are applied consistently.
• Collaborate with project and resource management teams to optimise delivery plans and improve overall project performance.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to support effective planning, forecasting and decision-making.

Desirable Qualifications
