Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Construction & Commissioning Manager to lead construction and commissioning across major energy infrastructure projects in the UK, including offshore wind connections and HVDC systems. You will drive handover from tendering, define delivery strategies, manage budgets, risks and stakeholder engagement, and ensure safety, quality and timely delivery on complex programmes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering Construction/Commissioning on major infrastructure, energy, utilities projects.
• Experience in HV/HVDC, substations or offshore wind projects advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management and commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage budgets, forecasts and change management.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all Construction & Commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Organise and lead kick-off meetings for Construction & Commissioning project teams.
• Drive handover from Tendering and Engineering into Construction & Commissioning with clear ownership.
• Define delivery strategies and resource requirements.
• Monitor progress, budgets and forecasts, implementing recovery plans when required.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Lead commercial discussions relating to change management and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and HSE requirements.
• Provide timely information to project leadership.
