Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited in Birmingham seeks a Project Construction & Commissioning Manager to lead construction and commissioning across major energy infrastructure projects, including offshore wind and HVDC systems. You will drive project handover, define scope, schedule, budget and risk management, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors to deliver safely, on time and within budget.

You will work with Project Directors and Site Managers, balance site priorities with business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering construction and/or commissioning on major infrastructure projects.
• HV, HVDC, substations or offshore wind experience would be advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Construction & Commissioning activities across the project lifecycle.
• Organise kick-off meetings and drive handover from Tendering/Engineering.
• Define responsibilities, resources, schedules and budgets for successful delivery.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, permits, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor progress, risks, forecasts and implement recovery plans.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Support commercial discussions related to changes, variations and cost control.
