Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited in Stone, Staffordshire, is seeking a Senior Buyer (Project Execution) to drive procurement for key service projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

You will lead procurement activities, develop strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets, and work with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maximize value and on-time milestones.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related discipline.
• Professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is preferred.
• Proven procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Procurement activities for the Service Business to align with Project demands.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies which align with the Project timelines and budgets.
• Ensure all Procurement activities are conducted in line with local Procurement Policy.
• Assist in setting up Framework Agreements, negotiation on pricing and terms and conditions to achieve best value for the Project.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project milestones.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting.
• Work closely with Operations regarding timely execution of Purchase Orders and Contracts.
• Carry out close out of Procurement Activities, collaborate with Project Managers, and provide feedback on Supplier Performance.
• Track procurement activities, ensuring cost efficiency.
