Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited seeks a Project Supply Chain Specialist to own the full supply chain lifecycle on high-value projects. You will coordinate with project teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timings, costs and quality meet requirements.

You will lead supplier selection, contract management and risk mitigation, optimise logistics, and report on performance and savings while mentoring a team of supply chain professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher in supply chain related field and professional experience in project-oriented environments.
Experience in managing complex supply chains for large-scale industrial or energy projects.
Strong procurement, logistics, inventory and contract negotiation knowledge with analytical skills.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement project-specific supply chain strategies aligned with project timelines and company objectives.
Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management for project materials and services.
Monitor supplier performance and address issues to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
Collaborate with project managers, engineering, procurement and logistics to forecast material needs and manage inventory.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including delays and cost overruns.
Optimize logistics and transportation for efficient material flow to sites.
Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and ethical sourcing.
Generate regular reports on performance, savings, and risk mitigation.
Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals for continuous improvement.
