Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Programme Manager to lead complex, transformational programmes with ambiguity, build high-performing teams and influence senior stakeholders. The role emphasizes governance, budgeting and delivery excellence in a regulated energy context.

You will own the programme plan, coach leaders, manage risks and dependencies, and drive outcomes across fast-moving environments, with a hybrid office base in Wokingham or Warwick.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering transformational programmes in fast-paced environments.
• Strong people leadership with ability to grow talent.
• Ability to influence at senior levels and align competing priorities.
• Experience starting programmes mid-flight and establishing momentum.
• Experience with both waterfall and agile delivery.
• Excellent planning, risk management, dependencies and controls.
• Financial acumen with budgeting and benefits tracking.
• Understanding of regulated industries or infrastructure is a plus.
