We are seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Lines / Professional Indemnity Underwriting team at Victor Insurance UK.

Victor UK is looking for candidates for the following position. Access to London, Cambridge, Bristol, Leeds, or Witham would be advantageous for office attendance.

Victor and its subsidiaries operate as a managing general agency (MGA), offering a broad range of property, liability, motor, and specialty insurance products worldwide. The Senior Financial Lines Underwriter will be part of a busy team of experienced professionals based in the UK.

Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to and implement the underwriting strategy across all products within our risk appetite.
2. Develop your career within a close-knit, knowledgeable, and growing MGA team.
3. Operate within underwriting authority and serve as a technical referral point.
4. Build strong relationships with brokers, capacity partners, and internal stakeholders.
5. Participate in networking, insurance events, and broker visits.
6. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring product profitability and sharing market insights.
7. Potential to deputize for the Product Head when needed.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in professional indemnity insurance underwriting.
2. Thorough understanding of the financial lines insurance market.
3. Experience managing high underwriting authority for professional indemnity.
4. Successful teamwork and results delivery experience.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

1. Experience with e-trade platforms, especially Acturis.
2. Professional qualifications such as Cert, Dip, or ACII.
3. Experience within an MGA model.
4. Established broker relationships in the UK.
