Job summary

HSBC in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior product owner to shape and deliver a new equity risk system from concept to operation. You will coordinate with Trading, Quants, Risk, Operations and Technology to translate complex business needs into concrete technology outcomes.

You will define the product vision, maintain the roadmap and release plans for the risk domain, and balance business requirements with technical constraints to build a scalable platform used across the bank.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Equity Derivatives and Prime brokerage in risk reporting.
• Experience as Product Owner or Business Analyst in risk or front-office settings.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into a structured product roadmap for tech teams.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration across governance forums.

Responsibilities

• Interface between business and IT to represent business intent.
• Shape and maintain the product vision, roadmap and release plans for risk.
• Deliver the risk system from concept to production, balancing requirements and constraints.
• Define measurable outcomes with timelines, quality controls and strategic alignment.
• Manage current risk system backlog and ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate with technology teams through backlog refinement and sprint planning.
