As a Product Owner, you will be a senior member of the LDMS Product team, responsible for organising, prioritising, and refining work for our agile engineering teams. Your role will involve creating, defining, and executing the product strategy, gathering feature requests, and coordinating sprint cycles to ensure clarity and quality of work items. Success in this role depends on your ability to understand customer needs and communicate these effectively to cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth product releases.

You will play a key role in delivering products aligned with our company vision, clearly communicating this vision, and gathering requirements from stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and the product roadmap.

Additional responsibilities include supporting other Product team members and contributing to an effective product function. You will be expected to embody and promote LDMS's values and behaviours.

Requirements

While responsibilities may evolve with the needs of the business, the key areas of focus include:

Day-to-Day
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and customers to understand business needs and translate them into requirements
  • Managing feature requests and updating the Product backlog and Roadmap accordingly
  • Grooming and prioritising the backlog to align with company objectives
  • Developing clear user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Working with UX designers to create prototypes and gather stakeholder feedback
  • Aligning team understanding and setting sprint goals
  • Planning releases and upgrades with the Release Manager
  • Analyzing requirements and end-user needs
  • Staying informed on industry trends and developments
Skills & Knowledge
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in the Financial sector
  • Knowledge of Loan agreement administration/servicing
  • Experience managing product lifecycle aspects in software delivery (e.g., Business Analyst, Scrum Master roles)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to define MVPs and balance strategic and tactical delivery
  • Experience communicating stories, epics, and initiatives to engineering teams using Scrum and platforms like JIRA or Azure DevOps
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to compare existing and competitor solutions to optimise outcomes
  • Experience analysing data and customer issues to derive business insights
  • Technical understanding, with experience using tools like Postman and database IDEs (Dbeaver, SQL Server, SQL Developer)
