Why join us?

Joining Sainsbury's Tech means being part of a 150-year-old retail chain that is undergoing a transformative journey towards embracing innovation and agility. As a Tech professional, you have the unique opportunity to contribute to driving change and pushing boundaries, as we invest in creating amazing systems and technologies. With a wealth of expertise to learn from and access to vast amounts of data from billions of transactions, you will be part of a dynamic environment where things are built, made, and implemented quickly. Your work will directly impact both our colleagues and customers, creating incredible experiences and shaping the future of retail technology. Welcome to the home of Sainsbury's Tech, where you can be part of our collective journey and make a meaningful difference.

What you'll do?

As Senior Product Managers, we're listening to and acting on what our colleagues and customers want, bringing business stakeholders and engineering teams together to solve challenges and create new business capabilities, whilst keeping abreast of new technology to provide vision and direction.

You’ll join our team working in our Warehouse Management area, directly driving forward the development of our new Warehouse Management and Labour Performance Systems, which are critical for running our business every day. The Warehouse Management and Labour Performance Systems are integrated via our in-house built Logistics Services Platform which connects us with the rest of our technology estate, including Supply Chain, Retail, Commercial and Finance, in addition to a diverse range of in-house built applications and third-party solutions within the Logistics division itself. You’ll be empowering our colleagues by helping to deliver modern, capable and reliable systems that are a delight to use, as well as enabling transformation within the Logistics division at a pace like never before.

To join us, you’ll be bold, curious, resilient and empathetic. You’ll be able to connect and build great relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. What’s more, you’re comfortable with making decisions, challenging assumptions and taking risks.

Your responsibilities will include working closely with software engineering teams, providing clear communication, prioritisation and focused objectives. An understanding of Agile ways of working and warehouse processes will be valuable. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, collating stakeholder requirements, as well as the ability to analyse and solve problems logically, will help you thrive in this role. In return, you'll enjoy benefits like colleague discounts, holiday allowance, bonuses, pension plan, and access to special offers. We promote flexible working and job share arrangements, and we're committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture.

Who you are?

As a Tech professional, you are someone who thrives on innovation and pushing boundaries. Working for a 150-year-old retail chain like Sainsbury's offers you a unique opportunity to be part of a transformative journey, changing the way we operate and creating amazing systems and technologies. In this role, you will have the freedom and support to make a significant impact, collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape the technology vision and roadmap, and deliver exceptional experiences for our customers and colleagues. With access to vast amounts of data and a culture of learning, Sainsbury's Tech provides a dynamic and inspiring environment where experts come together, ideas are turned into reality, and products hit the market quickly. Join us in shaping the future of retail technology and be part of Sainsbury's Tech, the home of innovation.

#LI-KF1

We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer, so you’ll be welcomed whoever you are and wherever you work. Around here, there’s always the chance to try something new - whether that’s as part of an evolving team or somewhere else across the business - and we take development seriously and promise to support you. We also recognise and celebrate colleagues when they go the extra mile and, where possible, offer flexible working. When you join our team, we’ll also offer you an amazing range of benefits. Here are some of them:

Starting off with colleague discount, you'll be able to get 10% off at Sainsbury's, Argos, TU and Habitat after 4 weeks. This increases to 15% off at Sainsbury’s every Friday and Saturday and 15% off at Argos every pay day. We've also got you covered for your future with our pensions scheme and life cover. You'll also be able to share in our success as you may be eligible for a performance-related bonus of up to 20% of salary, depending on how we perform.

Your wellbeing is important to us too. You'll receive an annual holiday allowance, and you can buy additional holiday. We also offer other benefits that will help your money go further such as season ticket loans, interest free car loan of up to £10k, cycle to work scheme, health cash plans, pay advance (where you can access some of your pay before pay day) as well access to a great range of discounts from hundreds of other retailers. And if you ever need it there is also an Employee Assistance Programme, you will also be eligible for private healthcare too.

Moments that matter are as important to us as they are to you which is why we give up to 26 weeks’ pay for maternity or adoption leave and up to 4 weeks’ pay for paternity leave.
