Job Description:

Amazon Freight (AF) is Amazon’s external freight transportation service that enables businesses to move full-truckload (FTL) shipments using Amazon’s trusted carrier network. As we scale across Europe, we are evolving our business operations, compliance frameworks, and internal partnership models to support AF’s long-term growth.
We are seeking a Program Manager – Strategic Initiatives to join the Amazon Freight EU team. This is a cross-functional role with exposure to billing & payments operations, credit risk programs, and the rapidly scaling internal partnerships charter. You will lead high-impact programs that drive financial hygiene, improve customer experience, and unlock long-term scalability through collaboration with internal Amazon entities. This is a unique opportunity for a builder who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys owning end-to-end programs, and can seamlessly shift between operational rigor and strategic thinking.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and scale initiatives that improve how AF manages financial operations, including dunning, credit risk mechanisms, AR optimization, and interest strategies for late payments.
- Develop processes to enable cross-entity partnerships, including cost allocation models, SOPs, risk mitigation, and scalability frameworks.
- Collaborate with Product, Tech, Legal, internal amazon entities and Finance to launch tools, programs, and SOPs that support both shippers and internal partners.
- Define and track program success through KPIs that align with AF’s revenue, write-off, and bad debt goals.
- Write strategy documents and business reviews to align senior leaders stakeholders on roadmap priorities and direction
- Manage vendor relationships (e.g., debt recovery partners) and external reporting obligations with agencies where needed.
- Identify and close process gaps to reduce risk and operational load for the EU Billing & Payments team.

About the team
Amazon Freight allows both small and large businesses to use Amazon to transport palletized goods across Europe. This is an innovative technology-driven service currently growing rapidly in Europe. We are a technology powered business, and we utilize Amazon’s expertise in technology and operations to delight our shippers. Amazon Freight utilizes Amazon’s best-in-class logistics and transportation operations.

Within Amazon Freight, we are a team of product and program managers that develop solutions to enhance shipper experience and drive profitable growth across various ship modes.
