About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use): 11

The Team: S&P Global Commodity Insights enables organizations to create long-term, sustainable value through data and insights on global energy and commodities markets. The Environmental Solutions group provides innovative infrastructure solutions to grow environmental markets. The successful candidate will work in the Registry Team, reporting to the Director of Product, Registries.

The Impact: This role supports the implementation and evolution of environmental markets, fostering connectivity, data transparency, and efficiency.

What’s in it for you:

This role involves collaboration with Product, Operations, Technology teams, and clients. You will independently deliver requirements documentation, analyze complex business scenarios, assess client needs, and communicate effectively across teams and with clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain functional and business requirements for the Environmental Solutions domain, focusing on registry infrastructure. Engage with clients through sessions to develop user stories.
  • Manage the product lifecycle and support strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, and Development.
  • Analyze data to address client queries and coordinate with technical teams.
  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing and deployment activities.
  • Assist the Commercial Team with materials and presentations to promote the product.
What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in product or analytical roles, preferably within carbon markets or fintech, with registry platform expertise a plus.
  • Experience in writing functional and business requirements and user stories.
  • Degrees in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Environmental Economics, Development Economics, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • Attention to detail, numerical proficiency, curiosity, and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in environmental markets such as carbon, water, biodiversity, or renewable energy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
