Job summary

AGS is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join a growing, product-focused engineering team. You’ll stay hands-on across the platform, own significant technical areas, and mentor others while shaping architecture and engineering practices.

This role suits someone with 3–5 years of commercial software experience or a recent Senior stepping up, comfortable with Java, Node, React and AWS, and eager to learn new skills. The position offers remote work with one in-office day per month in Liverpool.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ commercial experience building and delivering production software.
• Demonstrable ownership of projects, features or technical areas beyond simply completing assigned tickets.
• Experience making technical or architectural decisions within production environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review production-quality software across the platform.
• Take ownership of technically complex work and deliver it through to production.
• Break larger problems into clear, achievable pieces of work.
• Maintain ownership across multiple projects and development cycles.
• Look for ways to improve how the team builds, tests and releases software.
