Prolific is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead development across front and back end in a fast-paced, product-driven setting. You’ll contribute to architecture, drive quality, and shape features used by researchers and teams alike.

You’ll collaborate with design and product, own critical components, and apply AWS/GCP knowledge to deliver scalable, observable systems that customers value. Remote-friendly in the UK.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of modern web applications.
• Experience building TypeScript/JavaScript applications and using NoSQL databases.
• Experience using Python.
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture.
• Experience using AWS (Serverless) and/or GCP.
• Valuing test automation to improve code quality.
• Strong observability practices in a full stack environment.
• Collaborative, with strong engineering practices and value delivery.
• Focus on product life cycle and customer value.
• Data-driven decisions and continuous improvement mindset.
• Passionate about software development and learning.

Responsabilités

• Work in a cross-functional team with engineering manager, product manager, designer, and 4–5 engineers.
• Plan, build and support software that customers love using agile practices.
• Be self-motivated in a fast-paced environment with bias for action.
• Collaborate with teams outside product engineering and engage with customers to understand needs.
• Operate across AWS, GCP & Azure with a Run It mindset.
• Own production systems with monitoring tools like Datadog and ensure observability.
• Contribute to engineering culture and growth through active participation.
