Job summary

Oritain Global Limited in London is seeking an Experienced Product Engineer to design and build customer-facing applications and APIs, spanning backend Python services and frontend React/TypeScript UIs in an Azure cloud environment. You’ll own features end-to-end, collaborating with Product, Design, Data and Science teams to deliver impactful solutions.

You’ll work across the stack, emphasize code quality, scalability, and observability, and contribute to architectural decisions while mentoring

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Backend proficiency in Python with Django or FastAPI.
• Strong frontend experience with React and TypeScript, including component architecture.
• Relational databases experience, preferably PostgreSQL, including design and migrations.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and containerisation (Docker).
• CI/CD practices and automated testing to production standards.
• Awareness of data engineering concepts and related tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs in Python.
• Develop frontend UX with React/TypeScript and ensure performance and accessibility.
• Contribute to Azure-based infrastructure decisions and observability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data and Science teams to deliver features end-to-end.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
