Job summary

OrganOx Limited in Oxford, UK, is seeking a hands-on Backend Developer to join the Digital team. You will design, develop, test, and maintain server-side applications, APIs, databases, and Azure-based cloud services that underpin OrganOx digital products and have a direct impact on clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Professional experience as a software engineer in a commercial delivery team.
• Strong back-end development with Microsoft technologies (C#, .NET, SQL Server, Azure).
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services, APIs, and cloud-native solutions.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases to support product requirements.
• Develop automation, build pipelines, IaC, and modern DevOps tooling.
• Develop unit, integration, and automated tests and contribute to quality reviews.
• Participate in stand-ups, design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure on-time delivery with regulatory, cybersecurity, and data protection standards.
• Contribute to architecture documentation, traceability, and risk controls.
• Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and controlled production releases.
• Develop a deep understanding of OrganOx products and impact on patients.
• Adhere to OrganOx Code of Conduct and policies.
