Job summary

Trust in SODA, a Climate Tech innovator, is seeking a Product Designer to shape and scale a B2B SaaS platform. You will work with Product, Engineering and customers to tackle complex UX challenges, moving beyond simply redesigning screens to solving real user problems.

You will be involved throughout the product lifecycle—from discovery and research through prototyping, testing and working with Engineering to ship features. A strong focus on design systems and end-to-end ownership is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Design experience.

• Experience with B2B SaaS, technical products or operational software is a plus.

Product Designer | Climate Tech

Trust in SODA is partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed Climate Tech business that is using technology to transform how renewable energy projects are delivered.

They have built a B2B SaaS platform that replaces slow, fragmented and heavily manual processes with a much simpler digital experience - helping businesses manage complex projects from initial customer enquiry through to delivery.

The product is already gaining strong traction, and as the business moves into its next stage of growth, they are looking for a Product Designer to help shape and scale the platform.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves taking complicated products, workflows and technical problems and making them feel incredibly simple to use.

The Role

You will join a product-led environment and work closely with Product, Engineering and customers to solve some genuinely interesting design challenges.

This is not a role where you will just be handed tickets or asked to make existing screens look better.

You will be involved throughout the product lifecycle - understanding the problem, speaking with users, exploring solutions, prototyping, testing and working with Engineering to get products shipped.

You will be:

• Simplifying complex workflows - Taking technical and operational processes and turning them into intuitive user experiences.
• Designing across web and mobile - Working across desktop applications, mobile experiences, customer journeys and collaborative tools.
• Getting close to users - Speaking directly with customers, understanding how they work and identifying the problems that genuinely matter.
• Prototyping and testing quickly - Getting ideas in front of users early and iterating based on real feedback.
• Working closely with Engineering - Understanding technical constraints and collaborating with developers throughout the build process.
• Developing the design system - Creating scalable, reusable components and patterns as the product grows.
• Owning problems end-to-end - From discovery and research through to design, launch and iteration.

If you are interested in the technical side of product development, there is also scope to get closer to implementation and contribute directly to what gets shipped.

What They are Looking For

You will ideally have 5+ years of Product Design experience, although they are open to people with significantly more experience if the opportunity is right.

They are looking for someone who:

• Loves solving complex UX and product problems.
• Has strong UI and interaction design skills.
• Can take something complicated and make it feel simple.
• Thinks systematically rather than designing individual screens in isolation.
• Enjoys speaking with customers and conducting user research.
• Is comfortable working closely with Engineers and Product Managers.
• Is not afraid of getting into technical detail.
• Can work autonomously and take ownership.
• Is comfortable in a fast-moving environment where things are tested, shipped and improved quickly.
• Is willing to challenge ideas and ask "why?" rather than simply accepting a brief.

Experience designing B2B SaaS, technical products, operational software or tools used by field-based teams would be useful, but is not essential.
