Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a fast-growing technology company building secure, enterprise-grade AI solutions. They seek a Senior Product Designer to focus on evolving the design system and component libraries across complex software and AI products.

You will lead design projects from discovery to delivery, collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers, and mentoring other designers while shaping design strategy and best practices across the organization.

Having evolved from a specialist consultancy into a product-focused business, the company has developed its own AI platform and is experiencing significant growth across both its customer base and product teams.

As part of this expansion, they are looking to hire a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of their AI products.

This role is specifically focused on designing and evolving the company's design system and component libraries, so strong experience building, maintaining, and scaling design systems is essential.

The Opportunity

• Lead design projects from discovery through to delivery
• Create intuitive user experiences for sophisticated software products
• Design, build and scale design systems and reusable UI component libraries
• Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to influence product direction
• Conduct user research, prototyping and usability testing
• Mentor and support other designers (Senior and Principal levels)
• Help drive design strategy and best practice across the organisation (Principal level)

What We're Looking For

• Product design experience appropriate to Mid, Senior or Principal level
• Strong UX, interaction design and problem-solving skills
• Proven experience working on or owning design systems and UI component libraries
• Experience designing complex digital products, platforms or enterprise software
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams
• Exposure to AI-enabled products or emerging technologies would be beneficial but not essential
