Job summary

Oxbow Talent is helping a Guildford-based business modernise its digital products and invest in technology. They’re seeking an experienced Product Designer to join the product team and own end-to-end design from discovery to delivery.

You’ll work across UX, UI, research, prototyping and testing within an established design system, extending it where needed. The role offers hybrid working in Guildford with senior stakeholder exposure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Product Design, UX/UI or similar.
• Strong understanding of UX and UI principles.
• A portfolio demonstrating high-quality digital product work.
• Strong Figma and prototyping skills.
• Experience conducting or working with user research.
• Excellent visual design skills with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• An ability to explain the thinking and evidence behind your design decisions.
• Comfortable using AI tools within the design process (Figma and Claude).

Responsibilities

• Own design work across the full product lifecycle from discovery and ideation through to high-fidelity UI and delivery.
• Conduct user research and analyse user behaviour to understand problems, needs and opportunities.
• Create user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototypes.
• Design intuitive user journeys across a range of digital products.

• Test designs with users and iterate based on feedback and evidence.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Developers and senior stakeholders.

We’re working with a successful, established UK business that is investing heavily in technology, data and digital products as it looks to modernise a traditionally underserved industry.

They’re looking for an experienced Product Designer to join their growing Product team in Guildford.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end product design role. You’ll work across discovery, research, UX, UI, prototyping and testing, taking real business and user problems and turning them into intuitive digital experiences.

The foundations are already in place, including an established design system, components and patterns. The opportunity is to use those foundations intelligently while extending them when the problem genuinely demands it.
