Job summary

Jobtailor in London is seeking a Senior Analyst to partner with senior stakeholders and lead data-driven initiatives across insurance and financial services. You will apply statistical methods, build predictive models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.

The role requires strong SQL, data visualization (Power BI/Tableau), and mentoring experience, with a focus on delivering robust analyses and value creation across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Senior Analyst or equivalent analytical experience
• Strong commercial and analytical problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS, R, or similar analytical programming languages
• Experience building and applying statistical models/AI to solve business problems
• Strong data visualisation skills using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience leading complex analytical projects involving multiple stakeholders
• Experience evaluating causality and business outcomes using real-world data
• Experience within Insurance, Financial Services or a commercial analytics environment
• Track record of mentoring and developing junior analysts
• Experience of using Snowflake or equivalent platform

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product leaders to support strategic and commercial decision-making
• Analyse customer behaviour, revenue, profitability and cost drivers to identify trends, risks and opportunities
• Develop repeatable frameworks for measuring business impact and value creation
• Apply advanced analytics, forecasting and predictive modelling techniques to optimise performance
• Evaluate the effectiveness of business initiatives using robust statistical methods
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Act as a subject matter expert for enterprise data and commercial insight
• Mentor and support junior analysts, promoting best practice and high-quality delivery
