Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior quantitative lead to design, build and own the portfolio analytics toolkit for investment forecasting, valuation and optimization. Translate clinical, regulatory and commercial inputs into quantified financial impact using Python or R.

You will mentor analysts, define standards and collaborate across teams, promoting responsible use of Gen AI and advanced analytics in aLondon-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (engineering, CS, mathematics, economics, operations research, finance) or life sciences with quantitative experience.
• Experience in financial and operational modelling, valuation, investment analysis, decision science or related field.
• Expertise translating data science insights into actionable recommendations.
• Experience defining problem statements from limited information and managing multiple priorities to deadlines.
• Experience presenting executive analyses and influencing decisions through structured communication and data-backed recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and own the portfolio analytics toolkit, including NPV/rNPV models, scenario and sensitivity analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, and portfolio optimisation.
• Lead forecasting, data quality improvements and analytics tooling across annual and multi-year planning horizons.
• Prepare insights and recommendations for portfolio reviews and governance cycles; surface variances and risks with actionable recommendations.
• Mentor analysts, set analytical standards and champion responsible use of Gen AI and advanced analytics.
