Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Procurement Manager to provide leadership across an allocated OHL portfolio within UK frameworks. You will translate portfolio strategy into clear procurement plans and lead a team of buyers across multiple projects, aligning operations, design and planning with senior stakeholders.

You will guide risk-based procurement decisions, drive supplier relationships, and ensure governance and commercial controls are applied across tenders, evaluations and awards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated procurement leadership within complex projects.
• Experience leading procurement professionals at multiple career stages.
• Experience delivering procurement across multiple projects or defined portfolio.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation and contract award.
• Commercial awareness with ability to identify risk and support decisions.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Senior Buyers, Buyers and Graduates across the portfolio.
• Translate portfolio strategy into project plans and routes to market.
• Engage stakeholders early to inform lead times, capacity and commercial factors.
• Oversee complex procurements, negotiations and supplier escalations.
• Report status, risks, opportunities and support needs to leadership.
