Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc in Dundee is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Power Transmission & Distribution projects. You will own safety, programme, cost, and quality while guiding multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, construction, commissioning and final handover.

Ideal candidates bring HV infrastructure experience and strong people management skills to drive client satisfaction and successful project outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex HV/high voltage projects.
• Strong leadership and risk management capability.
• Experience across planning, design, construction, commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for safe, on-time project delivery within budget and quality standards.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and create high-performing environments.
• Coordinate activities across construction, engineering, design, commercial, procurement, quality, safety and environmental functions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
• Manage subcontractors, monitor performance, and ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Maintain Zero Harm focus and ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are embedded.
• Lead project risk and opportunity reviews and own the Risk Register.
• Understand and interrogate designs and technical information with constructive challenge.
• Develop resource plans to ensure the project has required capability.
• Oversee governance, reporting and record-keeping for informed decision-making.
• Align procurement plans with project programme and delivery needs.
• Maintain quality throughout delivery up to handover and close-out.
• Mentor and develop project team members for future growth.
