Role Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join Nidec Drives as a Senior Procurement Manager – NPD & Projects.

You will be responsible for the efficient delivery of procurement projects and new product introduction (NPD) programs, managing key projects across the business, and ensuring effective communication and reporting.

You will lead projects from inception to delivery, demonstrating performance in line with commercial and timeline expectations, and support strategic procurement initiatives within the leadership team.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Aligning strategies with Global Procurement Category Managers.
• Ensuring cross-functional requirements are integrated into project reporting.
• Collaborating globally to optimize performance and alignment.
• Leading project management meetings and reviews.

Tactical Execution:

• Developing and managing procurement NPD and project plans.
• Leading reviews and supporting NPD plans to meet tight deadlines.
• Ensuring regional implementation aligns with targets and goals.
• Maintaining KPIs to monitor project execution.

Team Structure and People Management:

• Providing leadership for the procurement NPD team.
• Promoting our procurement approach and acting as a key knowledge resource.
• Monitoring performance and communicating effectively across the business.
• Managing reviews with teams and regions to ensure plan delivery.

Relationship Management:

• Building strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Collaborating with procurement, R&D, operations, and finance teams.
• Facilitating delivery and performance through collaboration.

Travel Requirements:

• Travel to various Nidec locations and suppliers, including international trips.

Qualifications & Experience:

• CIPS, Business Degree, or Project Management qualification.
• Experience in projects or procurement, ideally in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of electronics and mechanical raw parts (preferred).
• Experience in complex, cost-effective environments.
• Structured, proactive mindset.
