Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is recruiting for a Procurement Manager to lead the procurement of subcontract packages, materials, plant and services for Project Letchmore Heath Power Station. You will work with Project, Commercial, Engineering and Construction teams to develop and manage the procurement strategy and schedule.

The role requires experience in construction, power, energy or major project environments, strong commercial and contractual awareness, and excellent supplier management and negotiation

Qualifications

• Experience procuring subcontract packages, materials, plant and services.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness is required.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Experience working on major projects in construction, power or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing procurement schedules in line with the project programme.
• Managing enquiries, tendering, bid analysis and supplier/subcontractor selection.
• Negotiating terms, pricing and contract conditions.
• Placing and managing purchase orders and subcontract packages.
• Identifying long-lead items and aligning procurement with key milestones.
• Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
