Job summary

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) invites a senior procurement professional to lead end-to-end sourcing for high-value projects. You will shape commercial strategies, challenge routes to market and secure savings, service improvements and reduced risk from complex supplier arrangements.

You will work with senior stakeholders across TfGM to influence requirements, manage supplier performance and deliver whole-life value.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing commodity, category or sourcing strategies with commercial options.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles and high-quality tender documentation.
• Experience leading end-to-end tendering, evaluation and contract/ framework awards.
• Record of supplier management and performance improvement across the contract lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement and tendering activity through to contract or framework sign-off, including multi-million-pound projects.
• Develop sourcing strategies based on market insight and risk.
• Create complex tender documentation and assess responses for best-value options.
• Identify and deliver significant savings and whole-life value across a broad portfolio.
• Coach stakeholders to improve procurement processes and governance.
