Job Description:

Summary: As a Senior Procurement Engineer, you will play a critical role in the execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects, ensuring that procurement activities are managed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with project timelines and INTEC’s strategic objectives. You will manage end-to-end procurement processes across solar PV, BESS, and associated electrical and civil balance-of-plant components. This role demands technical proficiency, commercial insight, and strong negotiation skills within an EPC project delivery framework.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement procurement strategies for renewable energy projects (solar PV, BESS, HV systems).
2. Lead tendering processes for materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, including evaluation and negotiation of bids.
3. Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, legal, and commercial teams to ensure specifications, schedules, and commercial terms are aligned.
4. Ensure all procurement activities meet project and company compliance, quality, and sustainability standards.
5. Identify, assess, and qualify new suppliers; maintain strategic supplier relationships.
6. Support contract development and management, including purchase agreements and subcontractor terms.
7. Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks; propose mitigation plans.
8. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of critical equipment and services in line with project schedules.
9. Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and performance metrics.
10. Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred).
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement roles, ideally within the EPC or renewable energy sector.
3. Proven track record in sourcing electrical, mechanical, and civil components for large-scale solar or energy storage projects.
4. Experience working with international suppliers and logistics coordination.
5. Strong understanding of contract law, INCOTERMS, and commercial risk management.
6. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
7. Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
8. Passion for sustainability and renewable energy.
9. Right to work in the UK without restrictions.
