Job Description:

Summary: As a Senior Procurement Engineer, you will play a critical role in the execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects, ensuring that procurement activities are managed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with project timelines and INTEC’s strategic objectives. You will manage end-to-end procurement processes across solar PV, BESS, and associated electrical and civil balance-of-plant components. This role demands technical proficiency, commercial insight, and strong negotiation skills within an EPC project delivery framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for renewable energy projects (solar PV, BESS, HV systems).

• Lead tendering processes for materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, including evaluation and negotiation of bids.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, legal, and commercial teams to ensure specifications, schedules, and commercial terms are aligned.

• Ensure all procurement activities meet project and company compliance, quality, and sustainability standards.

• Identify, assess, and qualify new suppliers; maintain strategic supplier relationships.

• Support contract development and management, including purchase agreements and subcontractor terms.

• Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks; propose mitigation plans.

• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of critical equipment and services in line with project schedules.

• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and performance metrics.

• Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement roles, ideally within the EPC or renewable energy sector.

• Proven track record in sourcing electrical, mechanical, and civil components for large-scale solar or energy storage projects.

• Experience working with international suppliers and logistics coordination.

• Strong understanding of contract law, INCOTERMS, and commercial risk management.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

• Passion for sustainability and renewable energy.

• Right to work in the UK without restrictions.
