This role is based in either our central London or Manchester office, 3 days per week.

The Role: Senior Buyer

This is a pivotal role, supporting the Category Manager and driving procurement excellence across a dynamic, sales-driven business. As a subject matter expert in the IT reseller space, you'll take the lead in managing vendor relationships, improving supplier performance, and aligning procurement priorities with CDW’s growth strategy.

You'll bring a proactive mindset to supplier negotiations, process improvement, and collaboration across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Be the go-to procurement expert in your category, delivering outstanding service to internal and external stakeholders.

• Take ownership of purchasing workflows, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.

• Build and nurture supplier relationships that drive profit and boost operational performance.

• Dive into supplier spend and market trends to uncover cost savings and added value.

• Help deliver purchasing metrics and support wider procurement goals.

• Partner closely with sales, inventory, finance, and more – aligning procurement with the bigger picture.

• Provide leadership within the team and act as the first point of escalation.

• Assist in shaping new policies and driving system improvements.

• Play a role in hiring, onboarding, and coaching new team members.

• Help cultivate a collaborative, solutions-led culture across the team and the wider business.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven procurement experience – ideally from an IT reseller or tech solutions integrator background.

• Commercially sharp, with a strong track record in supplier negotiation and contract management.

• Data-savvy, with the ability to turn spend and market insights into smart decisions.

• A confident communicator who can engage and influence at every level.

• Calm under pressure, with great organizational skills and an eye for detail.

• Comfortable with procurement systems (Navision or similar) and Excel/Word.
