Job summary

South East Water is seeking a Senior Process Scientist to ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of drinking water treatment works across Kent and Sussex, including Pembury and Farnborough. Based in a hybrid leadership role, you will manage a regional team of Process Scientists within the Water Quality department, guiding strategic asset strategy and statutory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Professional registration or chartership (e.g., CSci, CEnv, CEng) is highly desirable.
• Experience in drinking water treatment, water quality management, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Authority to optimise treatment performance and compliance.
• Lead process optimisations and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor and manage a regional team of Process Scientists.
