Innova Search is seeking an experienced Process Safety Manager to own process safety across a major international chemical manufacturing site in South Liverpool. The role combines hands-on technical authority with strategic project leadership, guiding engineering decisions, and ensuring COMAH, PSSR and ATEX/DSEAR compliance.

You will report to the Engineering Director, lead two engineers, and collaborate with Engineering, Operations and HSE to embed safety into design and operations.

Competenze

• Substantial process safety experience in chemical manufacturing or major hazards.
• Strong COMAH knowledge and major hazard management.
• Experience leading HAZID/HAZOP and risk assessments.
• ATEX/DSEAR knowledge and hazardous areas.
• Knowledge of process safety principles and change management.
• Ability to guide engineers and influence stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Lead development and governance of site process safety standards.
• Act as PSSR responsible person for pressure systems.
• Provide ATEX/DSEAR technical leadership.
• Oversee COMAH compliance.
• Lead HAZID/HAZOP and risk reduction.
• Integrate human factors into safety management.
• Assure plant modifications and capital projects through MO change.
