Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking a principal process safety engineer to join the Power and Energy Solutions Practice. Based in central Scotland (Glasgow/Edinburgh) with a flexible mix of home-working and office collaboration, you may also work from Bristol or Stockton.

We welcome part-time applicants and seek a versatile professional capable of handling several small projects, writing bids, and mentoring juniors to deliver quality safety work for clients.

Qualifications

• University Degree in an appropriate science, engineering, or equivalent experience and qualification.
• Experience working in highly regulated process and energy related industries.
• Ability to provide a customer-focused service.
• Motivated to meet delivery/cost targets without compromising quality.

Responsibilities

• Consequence modelling of Major Accident Hazard scenarios and QRAs.
• Hazardous Area Classification & DSEAR assessments.
• Preparing HSE study reports and associated calculations.
• Leading HAZOP and LOPA workshops and Terms of Reference.
