Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our expanding UK water teams in London, High Wycombe, Reading, Brighton, Southampton or Cambridge. You will lead process design and analysis across water and wastewater projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions.

You will own technical work packages and contribute to reports, calculations and construction support, while mentoring colleagues and promoting best practices within a flexible, hybrid work

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or related discipline required.
• Experience in process engineering within water, wastewater, utilities or related sectors.
• Experience with process design, calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and/or treatment process evaluation.
• Good understanding of water and/or wastewater treatment processes.
• Experience taking ownership of technical tasks or work packages within multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload and contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering solutions across water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Undertake process calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and treatment process evaluations.
• Develop and review technical reports, specifications, calculations and other project deliverables.
• Take ownership of technical work packages, managing inputs, quality and delivery to agreed timescales.
• Support process design development from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
• Contribute to site investigations, asset assessments, optimisation studies and technical workshops.
• Work closely with civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and environmental engineers to develop integrated solutions.
• Engage with clients and project teams to understand requirements and translate challenges into practical engineering solutions.
• Support and mentor less experienced engineers, sharing knowledge and contributing to the wider development of the team.
• Contribute to technical innovation, best practice and continuous improvement across our Process Engineering work.
